Finnie Heavy Haulage Scania R560 Topline 8x4 with Broshuis 2+6 axle trailer:

Scania Topline R560 (8x4) tractor unit and Broshuis 2 axle dolly with 6 axle rear bogie, customised in the classy livery of Scottish operator Finnie Heavy Haulage.

The model has been produced exclusively for Search Impex by WSI Collectibles as a certificated Limited Edition (155 pieces). The Finnie model is one of the first releases to use the new trailer tooling from WSI which is based on Broshuis' 100 tonner trailer range. Featuring an extendable dolly and an extendable 6 axle rear bogie, the total length of the model ranges from about 43cm closed up, through to an impressive 60cm fully extended.

Based in Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire, the Company was established in 2002 by Directors Alan & Ruth Finnie who, with more than 20 years experience in the haulage industry between them, have ensured that the business has swiftly built up a solid and respectable reputation.

Specialising in moving heavy, abnormal & general haulage loads throughout the U.K & Europe, the current fleet is dominated by Scania units, ranging from standard 6x2 & 6x4 trucks, through to the beefy 8x4 unit on which this scale model truck has been based. Finnie Heavy Haulage operates 3,4 & 5 axle semi’s, low loaders, flats, extendable flats & curtainsiders. Only recently, the Company has taken delivery of the first 2+6 Broshuis semi low loader in the UK which, with a loaded running height of 850mm and a 100 ton weight capacity, will prove to be a key asset in the movement of some abnormal loads. The business has its own escort vehicles (which are also available for hire) and pilot cars equipped to be in constant communication with the load whilst on the move. A full route planning service and permit application service are also part of the offering, so enabling Finnie Heavy Haulage to ensure its customers’ requirements are met on time, every time.
