When you announced the 72m boom, I was almost sure you would do this outside your house

Auxiliary outriggers I spent the past couple of weeks fabricating the auxiliary outriggers. They are clearly needed for raising the more than 10’ of boom. Machining the pads: And it works! The next step is building a trailer for the counterweights and the boom. I choose a typical trailer used in the 70’s and 80’s for this purpose in Germany. It is a 4 axle Scheuerle trailer. I started a month ago and made some good progress. [IMG https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/957/40105725340_79ef300eab_b.jpg [/IMG] Kerst http://forums.dhsdiecast.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1096251

Paul R The crane is basically done, just needs painting. Painting will be quite a job, because it means taking everything apart , a lot of sanding, priming and painting. then it will need to go back together again. It is a good summer job, because I can set up a spray-booth outside. kerst http://forums.dhsdiecast.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1096251
