As of right now I am redesigning the cab, well not the cab but the way it attaches to the machine. The way I had it the cab was to high for transport so I am doing something you have not seen on a crawler , you will have to wait a few days til I get it perfected and installed
Thanks again Jason
Hmmm, maybe a swing away cab for transport? Like on the LTM11200? The idea of casting this is very exciting. Again, great work Jason! Rowan. 1:25th scale CAT 375L excavator

Some really nice engineering in that little part Jason. Are you going to make a short stick/bucket configuration for this machine too? I reckon that would look kickass!

This one looks much better! But it made me think of one thing, it's gonna be easy for the operator to get from the trak to the cab, but he'll need a ladder to get on the track!
Fantastic work buddy!

I have added more LED lights to the machine aswell. 2 forward on cab, 1 rear on the cab. 1 forward driver light on right side of the house and 1 light on the boom which is moveable. You can see the electronics fit nicely into the house which I designed to fit a 9v battery, switch and wiring nicely and out of site. The switch is the rear deck plate on the panel. I made it so you just need to press down on the plate to turn on and off. Nice little feature to hide the swtch out of site. The panel is also held in place by a magnet, you just pull on the railing on the front to the panel to take off the cover. I also have the long boom painted just need to fix a section to keep the boom from bending to the left. Only thing left to do is get some tinted plexi for the cab windows and make a lot of hoses for the booms What do you guys think of this Jason NIkl Scale Models

That is an awesome build. I have been checking on this thread since you started, and it is good to see it come together.

That's one sweet machine, congratulations. I really like the idea of adding some electronics/lightning/automated functions to die cast machinery. Maybe is that the future of die cast models. If some of you knows about electric trains, it is now possible to program pre-recorded noises and functions, add lights in chips (decoders) the size of a memory stick. Now even HO scale locomotives can make smoke. I can imagine some larger mining equipment could include sounds of diesel engine, even smoke and some lighning functions battery operated, and activated by a remote Hey, am I inspiring some... ?
