On Tonkins European website the release date says first quarter of 2014. This applies to all models that were supposed to be released in 2013.

CypModels has announced to produce in 2014 a new unique custom scale model in 1:50th scale: DJB D350 Articulated Dump Truck
At present CypModels still urgently is looking for more photos and drawings in particular, with the proper dimensions of the DJB D350 1:1 in order to realize an exact replica in 1:50th scale.
Do you have information?
Please contact me and I will make sure that it will go to CypModels.
Progress photos, dimensional details, price, numbers and the delivery schedule date will be posted on www.minimovers.nl/news when available.
This next knock out model will be available in very limited numbers for serious collectors only.

Thanks for the picture and info Wouter. Also read online that Tonkin's plan is to introduce a total of 24 new CAT models before the end of 2014. I hope this info is correct.

Ad Gevers is a Dutch custom Caterpillar scalemodel builder. His main focus are Track-Type Tractors and Scrapers. Ad Gevers, like many of us always trying to gather background information and photos about the scale models in his collection or to pick up ideas for new his custom projects. You understand that this collecting after many years has become a a comprehensive and certainly unique photo archive. His greatest passion is the Caterpillar D9 Track-Type Tractor and to share this worldwide with all the Caterpillar fans, he started a unique album which under the name Caterpillar D9 Photosets can be found on FLICKR. Custom scale model builder Ciprian Ursulescu from CypModels has recently started his next project developing and building in 1:50th scale of the:
DJB D350 Articulated Dump TruckIt is our goal for the coming period in this "Making of... a DJB D350 Articulated Dump Truck" to show how this custom model will be achieved. I was thinking the same thing Tom, Could be the Cat 950GC that they are suppose to come out with.
Wouter, have you heard any information on how many new Cat models Tonkin is looking to release in 2014 yet?

NEWS FLASH! Tonkin Replicas goes KAMAG!Tonkin will start making KAMAG scale models in 1:50th scale. Great news and it will give us collectors more unique scale models. On my personall wishlist: KAMAG U-frame Slag Pot Transporter 2802-130 powered by a Caterpillar C15 diesel engine. Curious for more news?
