It's Brian Blackman's wide bucket for the Cat 330D. Special cast with full lugs on it.
I've received three from Brian yesterday, one of which will be for my (future) Case CX 800 Long Reach.











Another attachment has also been planned, a special lifting jib based on the short jib of my Liebherr LTR 1100. I'm just waiting on my Himobo quickcouplers. Another part which is planned is a demolition wrecking ball. I'm planning on using a 20 grams fishing lead for this. They are available as balls here in Holland. Just have to find a shop near my home which sells these.

Well, my big Himobo order for the quickcouplers finally came in last week, and I've been finishing some attachments since then. Today I made some photo's of the complete sets.

Starting with a special adapter for 'hanging' attacments, clamshell buckets, orange peel grab, the works. This adapter doubles as a lifting part and is fitted with two special hooks. A third hook will be added, but was sold out at the moment.

As the same adapter is used for lifting purposes, we'll continue with that.

On the left you can see my new lifting platform from CMM-Schwerlast, very useful for lifting materials and machines into the pit!





Little Siku skidsteer...



Big box from a Siku lowloader. Might be converted to a fueltank, or just used as a tool box.



Next set, the buckets. Wide buckets, narrow buckets, big buckets, small buckets, you name it.



For the smaller buckets (8-mm stick) I made a special extended stick.



Next set, demolition parts. Sorting grab, crushers, shears etc. The extended stick comes in handy here too, especially for the smaller Himobo shear, and Mike's Cat S320 3rd member shear. Although I plan on making a special adapter so these 8-mm parts will also fot the standard R 954 C stick.



Final set, the foundation parts, sheetpilers, auger, hammer etc.



A few parts are still in the works and/or planned.

-Lifting boom, complete with winch and three-sheave hookblock.
-Palletframe (3-different sizes)
-Ripper (already on the way from Brian Blackman)
-Big hammer (Nigel, contact me if you read this!)
-Man basket (perhaps)

One of the things I'd really like is a big rubble bucket. But none of those available at the moment that matches the Liebherr.

Any tips, or suggestions of more attachments are always welcome!!

Two new attachments, originally from a Joal Volvo wheelloader. One is a lifting boom, the other a log grapple. I'm using the lifting boom here for the concrete bucket. The maximum height for this is 18.5 cm (7.3 inch) from the ground, which equals 925 cm (30 foot) in real life. In the future this machine will get some help from two little wheeled excavators, either Liebherr A 916 Avance or Caterpillar M316D's, both equipped with Beco lifting booms and Zon concrete buckets.





The log grapple is somewhat of a disapointment. It does look good, but the cilinders are to weak to hold anything in. I might have to replace these...

Just a little experiment with a leftover boom and stick from a Liebherr A 316 Material Handler.
I'm pretty sure this won't be possible in real life, but it looks not that bad! Ideal for digging out deep and narrow trenches.

A crusher bucket would be great, and I have thought about it, but I need to take some good photo's of one first, so I can learn how it works. I'd also love to have a tiltrotator, but these are not used on this size machine.

I do have a new attachment for the model though, it's called a Clamshell Telescopic Arm Attachment, and I got the idea after reading this: Clamshell Telescopic Arm

I used the standard boom of a Demag AC 155, which I had in the spareparts bin. The boom is quite old, and not in the best condition, and the parts do not slide very easily. I'll have to fix that before repainting (standard Liebherr excavator yellow).

BTW, maximum reach is 74.4 cm (29 inch) below the surface, which is the equivalent to 37.2 meters (122 feet) in real life. Because of the huge weight of the boom I have filled the excavator body with pieces of lead so it won't tip over. It still needs some work at the stick end though. The bucket is from the Liebherr A 954 B Material Handler.

Do those Ditching buckets from brian blackman need any modifications to fit on the 954?

Sounds good! I still need to finish a couple of attachments for the model as well. Some need some redesigning, as the original idea won´t work.



I have thought about it, but I haven´t started anything yet.



They require a small bit of modification, however, I do not know if Brian has any left. These are based on the 330D ditching bucket, but have full lugs to fit on the R 954 C, and on my, future, Case CX 800 Long Reach. The width between the lugs is intermediate between the stick of the R 954 C and the Case CX 800 as well.
