Really like how she came out.

How did you make the phone # decal in white? Ore those white decals, or white primer with inverted numbers (red decals)?

Well done work anyways.Wink

Brandon, are the decals vinyl or water based? I've purchased from Buffalo Road Imports and all I receive is water base decals. Great job on the entire job by the way.Applause I have a Grove gmk4100 that I would like customized to ALL CRANE colors and decaled. Are u available for the job?

This brings me to raise one question: how are vinyl based decals doing compared to water slide ones? I've always thought that vinyl decals were more suitable for exterior applications suchs as car stripes as they are somewhat thick. Does anyone ever tried those for scale models with good results?

been wanting to make a few mats for at least one crane for a while now. still need to make a bunch more but these are enough for now. i got (20) 1/4" x 1/4" poplar square dowels and dark walnut stain from home depot the other day. Each mat has (3) 6" sticks and (2) 5&5/8" sticks. once glued, i drilled 1/16" holes all the way through, and put 1/16" brass rod through. then i stained them. once dry i then painted the ends of the mats blue. not sure what each color means but I've seen blue, red, orange, green.... ended up making 24 mats. anyways, i think they came out great! what do you guys think?

The color on the ends is just a sealer paint applied to seal the end grain of the timbers. Different mills use different colors, and there is no universal code.

The beatings will continue until Morale improves......

Brandon,

Great jot. like the others say, adding the painted ends really make a huge difference!
