The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Guys,

Don't know if has been said yet But

Why the can the Model be Made & Released before the Real machine!!

Maybe they will give everyone with an order for the 1:1 a 1:50 model so they can Dream about getting the 1:1 machine in 2020

if anything, this is a bonus to the collector, having the model before the machine

I did however recal a faint memory of a rumour I was told back before the Intermat show of 2009 I think,I was told by a friend that the Terex ac1000 model would be unveiled at the show, along with the 1/1 machine,

However due to the delays that ensued on the real machine Terex would not give the go ahead for conrad to release the model, this was before images hit the internet

Could this explain the lack of big models at last years Toy Fair from Conrad? also perhaps the possible lack of detail,if the model was made 2 years ago, plus the fact its made in Germany and labour is more costly

If anyone has heard or can remember anything like the above, please add,I will go and chase up the rumour source, hoping that he/she can recal it,

could give a nice little insight into the model manufacturing background and OEM and model manufacturer relationship

I think it would be funny if someone buys the model AC1000 and does a really good paint job on it then a crane hire company buys the real thing and wants a similar paint job. Say a form of role reversal!! Whistle

ok i have 2 questions

why does the superlift not attach to the boom tip like it does on the LTM 11200 and why are they using CC 8800 looking CWs now instead of the AC 500 type?

model looks pretty good, wonder if the AC 500 luffer will fit this model

Demags give the customer a choice of what ballast type they want......there was a choice of 3 if i remember correct

And what brandon said, i think it can hook up to most the sections, including the head.

I was very glad to hear that not all the final details are seen on this pre-production version.
