Paul R,
What is the idea of Conrad doing the White Models???
Are they for people to Custom Paint?
If I am honest, I am not really sure. It will certainly help some custom workers but I actually think it is more of a marketing thing. They now have some black and red models and there are collectors who seem to like these colours as they are 'limited'. But if the price is okay then I'd be tempted to buy a white LTR1100 for repainting Paul R

I'd agree on a NT version but I am not sure I will hold my breath for it. I hold out less hope for the 31000 But this is a model I will not be buying so not an issue for me. I will also hold out for the LR1600/2 liveries which I'm sure will be later in the year once the Liebherr version has been on the market a while. I count 12 rows on the Drake! There are comments on FB with several thoughts on what might come with it so I guess time will tell on that one. Paul R

Why have they used Plastic Track?? Did have time to produce Metal Tracks???
It a Step backwards if they are using plastic Tracks
Before judging, we should ask whether the displayed model is a prototype-unit or a production-model. With the glossyness of the handrails and the overall look of the details I would say it´s a preproduction model. But it does quite make sense to do the tracks in plastic. Metal tracks, especially heavily loaded ones (R9800 weights 7,5kg) tend to break. I had this issue on my Bucyrus 495HR. At the size of parts we´re talking about, plastic is far more flexible and forgiving than metal - as long as you know what kind of plastic to use. And probably cheaper, too. And if it is a prototype the tracks could be made using rapid prototyping/manufacturing. Maybe the final molds for the metal tracks weren´t finished yet. So, does anybody know if it is a prototype?

Probably not. From wht I have heard the R9800 will be available before Bauma starts. And the first models are yet being delivered to Liebherr. I don´t see any problem with the tracks made of plastic. As long as they are solid enough it´s O.K. for me.

Has anybody seen or heard a release date for the Cat 795F?. I would imagine it will be soon before it's being advertised on the home page

Hey Paul looks like the 795F AC will be released sometime around June or July. I am very interested in seeing the new 336E H Hybrid machine as well as the 980K series loader. Hopefully Norscot will show a updated photo of the model instead of the real machine.

I agree with that Jan, I wish this hobby could evolve beyond the mindset that metal=quality, if it's sitting on the shelf who cares if it has less mass? As long as the Track look Realistic on the Model it doesn't matter to me if they are Plastic or Metal.
Some of the Plastic Track they are used make the model look incorrect.

Thanks for the info! The R9800 is now up for preorder on several German modeldealer websites. Price is around 400€, which I think is a very reasonable price for this highly detailed - 'Made in Germany' model.
