Thanks for all the nice words guys. Very much appreciated. The carrier actually comes apart quite easily and wasn't so bad to paint. The upper looks like it could be a little more tricky in terms of taking apart but easy to paint.

Stephen - I do believe most AC500's have the black boom parts as there are the areas where the boom slides in and out on, so are greased - hence the black colour.

Mark - I am still so tempted to paint the Dufour LG as I love that livery. But chose this one instead as not many have been done in 1:50th scale. In fact only one that I'm aware of but have not seen.

Progress has been slow but progress is being made:

Waiting on some more decals. Upper has been completely stripped and am just needing time to get it painted. I suspect that is as far as I'll get before we move house.

Jack - thanks for the link. Not been able to get there and will be away all weekend and next week, though I will get to meet the legendary Mammoet Bob on this trip Smile

Wow Paul, That Whytes crane is really going to look nice when done! I assume you are adding the YCC pendants and walkways too?? I have had trouble locating these, Chou is too busy making 11200 kitsLiar

Mark,
Yes the plan is to add the YCC kit. I bought the walkways a while back for a good price. I have the pendants that were suppose to go on the Felbermayr LR but never had time to do it so they'll now end up on the Whytes.

Great job Paul! You know its going to need a friend, Word has it Whytes has a LTM-11200 on the way. It'd make a great companion to the LG1750 Think

Nice job Paul, look forward to the conclusion!

Love the Thomen, been waiting on this baby since they announced it (seems like 2 years ago?). Saw that they were delivered in EU last week but none in the states yet. The US did get a shipment of Sarens and Ocean Traders according to DHS.

Been a while since I posted pictures due to moving house. Whytes is on hold for a bit until we get sorted out a bit more. I had hoped to have it finished before we moved but after repainting the outriggers 3 times (outer part) and still not right, I gave up until we moved!

I've had a bit of a problem with my display cabinet because I can't get it into my new house so looks like I've got to start from scratch in that area =>:-<

But I have had a couple parcels since we moved including the WSI Baumann MB ballast truck, McNallys and Michielsens LTM 1050-3.1 and this, the LTM 11200-9.1 in the livery of Havator:

Haven't had a lot of time for pictures as we now have a new house to decorate and rather a large garden to tend to!

Thanks for looking,

Paul R
