The ZX470 looks awesome , I only seen teaser shots of it, but it looks great. Will defiantly consider getting one (my ZX450LC-3 is getting kinda tired). I also think Case is making a CX250C available at Bauma which is just a repaint of the Link-Belt 250 X3

As some of you have been a little down with Tonkin's latest release of the 988K and that their whole 2013 Model Line up consist nothing other than K-Series Wheel loaders, plus a mining loader and dozer. I for one am glad to see a 988K as this model should of been released a while ago even if it was a 988H. Finally something to load the portable crushers or even the 772 Haul Truck. Kudos Tonkin!! Also the new Norscot releases should be worth the wait and don't forget that they are possibly planning on releasing a few more 1/50 Cat models later in the year. It's better to see some models from CAT and more then one manufacturer than nothing at all.........

LTM 1500 id like to see MIC, MSG or Michielsens as my top picks not to mention quite a few others
as for the LR 1600, im Jonsing for a NEEB version, highly unlikely but a repaint could be done I'd be really surprised if there isn't an MSG livery, considering Christian now works at WSI. I know his avatar is an MSG 1500. I know it's not always up to the model manufacturer to make the livery, but I could see how they might have an influence. I'm personally holding our for a Felbermayr, Sarens, or Wiesbauer livery I'm also looking forward to the Faun ATF400. a 400 tonner will go nicely with the 1500. Now if only I could find some pictures.

Aside from the Liebherr pieces Remko speculated about in the original post, all the other pieces had already been seen and had their own topic here.
It's weird as I can't find many photos of new models on the European forums either?
I was just starting a nice conversation on the phone with a friend who is there when the call was dropped and I haven't been able to reach him since. Is anybody else getting strange messages when trying to call out of the US?
The only significant thing he go across before this "issue" is that the Wirtgen 4200 SM is on display and available for pre-order.
As far as Tonkin is concerned; the way I see it we're up to three new pieces as the three smaller wheel loaders are likely to be the same thing with decal and possibly other "tweaks".
Luc wrote in a reply at the time of the Toy Fair "We will anounce 3 models and the last 2 during Bauma 2013".
What is the second model?

The 988 celebrates 50 years in production this year, it was always going to be modelled so you end up with some quarry loaders, a legacy model and a mining model, if you can,t be pleased with those choices you should give it away

Good news on that front. During the online Facebook Q&A period, Luc was asked if ther small loaders would be the same with different decals, and he replied: "One more thing about the K series... Each model will have a different frame no question to just change only the decals" So the good news is, the smaller loaders will all be different models, not the same one, renumbered or tweaked.

Each model will have a different frame... Really? Remember this... http://www.miniature-construction-world.co.uk/tonkin_news.html The real 966K and 972K share the same wheelbase of 3450mm while the 950K has a wheelbase of 3350mm (info obtained from CAT website PDF's). This translates to difference of 2mm in 1:50th scale. Do you really think that there will be a different mold made for a difference of 2 mm. And even if there is, will you really notice it. There are differences in the Lift Arm Clearances for the 950 compared to the 966 and 972 but the 966 and 972 share the same high lift clearance height, and there isn't much of a difference when comparing their regular lift heights so I don't think there will be a big difference on the front end as well, maybe they will put different buckets on them. I will be purchasing at least two of them. I think we were just wanting that 349 thats all.

Ross Well Ross, sorry, but I was only repeating what the company rep said. He promised they will not just be the same machine with different decals. I have nothing to do with it, just passing on what he said. Keep in mind, there are MANY dimensions on the 3 loaders that are different. English is not Luc's first language, and it's very possible that when he mentioned frame, he meant the entire loader frame, arms, body, etc. Proportionally, they all look different, so maybe lets just wait and see what they change.

Brian;
First off, I am glad that Tonkin is making CAT models, a little more competition for Norscot will be a good thing for us, the collector. And while I don't know Luc personally, I do know that English is his second language so some slack must be given there.
But using the Tonkin Press Release as a comparision, yes there are big visual differences between the three loaders ie. sloped rear hood on the 950K vrs. a "flatter" hood on the 966K/ 972K and all three of them have different rear counterweigts but in 1:50 scale I don't think you will see much of a difference, but I hope I'm wrong. But then again, considering that Chuck has prices posted and the 966K and 972K are the same price I don't think you will see anything different other than a different style bucket.
