i know that US versions of Liebherr cranes are wider than European versions but i always thought that the rear outrigger were cast as part of the crane and actual outriggers themself could come out from the frame part

Stevenson keeps their stuff in very good shape, they are always very clean.... this is a beautiful crane in person.... that paint scheme is really nice to me but i suppose im a bit biased! they do compete with Central pretty good, they have some huge crawlers not nearly the fleet as Central but they do very well for themselves!!

sweet pics DeWoc,looks like it just rolled outta the box! sparkling clean, and a tasty livery too,

no matter how many times i see those jib dollies,I just can't get used to them Teeth

I never knew cranes spec'd for the US differed in width than Euro cranes,is it just Liebherr? and do you know the dimensions? I think its 3m here which is a shade under 10ft

thanks for the pics and taking the time to snap and post 'em

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

I am not sure if it is just width. I believe that Terex "Demag" products also had some varriants with their axle spacing as well. Wonder if any of the other manufacturers have as well? SCRA would we happy if the states became uniform with their laws. We can experience three totally different transport configurations within 11 miles. Virginia likes boom dollies, the District doesn't while Maryland doesn't like booms left in machines. This comes into play on anything larger than a 300 ton in most cases. Digging and Rigging would jump with glee if they could move their LTM1500 as Bay Crane does for instance. It would be two less permit loads.

The larger Liebherrs all terrains are popular in the Chicago area though. Isn't Stevenson exclusively Liebherr and other than for a recent Grove GMK5165-2, I believe Gatwood is as well? Central was more of a mixed bag I believe. Central also has the national account status of their parent when purchasing with Grove.

These big Liebherrs are definitely the leaders in engineering detail.

yes Stevenson is all Liebherr.... until you get to crawlers, then they are Manitowoc and Liebherr (LTR 1100)

Gatwood is pretty much the same with with the exception of the new Grove like you said and Central well they get anything. im sure if we could drive our cranes around here like Europe does we would see an LTM 11200 in the Midwest, but i dont see that happening since you would have to pretty much build the entire crane from the ground up at the jobsite due to how much it would need to be broken down LOL

Ahh,

Nice crane. I have been waiting to see pictures of that one. I received the GROVE GMK 4100 in "ALL" yesterday. It is a sweet model as well. My only complaint: the mechanics must really get confused when they get a work order and they are told to go service machine number 8495. It is the same number for the RT, the 5135, and the 4100. Chuck???? Next time run some different numbers. Bryce

A fine pair indeed! I have to agree that they look sensational and will be a nice match for the 11200 Smile

But I thought it was Nooteboom who commissioned these, not HTM? Could be wrong but that was my understanding as they were available at the Nooteboom Store to members a week or so before the general release.

Thanks,

Paul R
