Great pics as usual Vinny, couple of questions though, why does it seem like they aren't getting anywhere? And, is there not a ramp to move all the equipment down? I would think that there would be...?

To get all the equipment down there they lift it with the 14000 or the 18000, anything to large for the 14000 gets taken apart and is lfited down ther piece by piece. As for the speed, its a controversial question. There isnt really a excuse for the pace they have been at for the last 8 years but since September 09 they have picked up the pace alot, as you can see in my pics. The construction didn't actually start the day it collapsed, they had the massive clean up site as everyone knows and not to mention the long years, and even till today of finding remains of people. From talking with the site teamster and concrete foremans, they had tons of politicians sons and daugthers working on site who had no idea what they are do and just in the last year they have been getting union guys in there. My grand fathers friend had to come in there to speed up concrete, he poured 2 floors in one day, when the last guy didnt pour a floor in 3 weeks. Lifts can only be done at certain times because remember, all the work you see going in is happening while subway trains are riding below. The 18000 can only make pics on Friday nights between 10:30 PM and 5:00 AM. should it have been done already? absolutely. This was one year ago July 1st

wait a minute... so the 18000 can only be used once a week for a time from of 6 1/2 hours? seems pretty pointless to me

correct. Its setting steel over a active subway line, the last thing they want is to have a accident over a active line so they shut it for that time when there are least riders and when they will loose the least amount of $$$

i mean i could understand if they only used it on the weekend as thats usually how subway shutdown work goes, you work Friday to Sunday, but not just Friday for 6 hours

He comes in when they need him on the 18000 which isn't often... When not he's on one of the favcos or liebherr towers during the week
