I love trying to discover history behind the one-off cars like this.... My personal phenomenon of the car world....... Chrysler has currently mothballed their Viper plant and this car goes by the name of.... Oreca Dodge Viper GTSQuote:Oreca were the French based company who lead the Viper to LeMans wins and many GT Championships,........... I know that it was owned by Team Oreca and was used as their Homologation example when they toured the GT series. I contacted Oreca many years ago and they were kind enough to inform me that it was actually a completely stock Viper GTS fitted with a GTS-R body (approx 4 inches each side, wider than stock).
I last posted about this car about a year ago and it was brought to my attention by some forum members that the car was on display at the Viper plant on the show floor. So far I've only come across these few pictures and was wondering if anyone else had run across anymore

Thanks, It's a 1.4 turbo only, the 1.4 turbo and compressor has 160 hp.
I'm happy with this one, I already had alot of problems to get an insurrance so I don't want to know how much trouble it would be to get insurrance on a 160 hp car.
It's really sad actually, just because I'm only 24 it's hard to get insurrance, they don"t even give a damn about the fact that I'm a truck driver and I have more driving experience than a 40 year old driving the same route to work every single day.
I don't know how much you guys have to pay but I'm paying €2700 insurrance a year, crazy or what?

Don't worry you're not alone in the world of crazy insurance quotes,I have had friends pay upwards of €4500 on cars like 1.3 Ford Escorts and 1.3 Toyota Corollas there was one crazy incident with a friend,a few years ago insurance companies here could not just say "no" they had to give you a quote no matter what, so my friend already had a 1.4 VW golf,then bought a 1.6 vetec Honda CRX,it only cost him about €800 extra for the remaining few months of that year,but when it was time to re-insure it the next year, he got a quote of €17,000,so that was that lol I have a 1.3 corolla and my insurance is up next month,1'm 29 and I think my insurance is €1200  thats 3 LTM11200's!!!!!

^^^^Goes to show how spoiled we are in the States. We whine about gas at $3.00 / $3.50 per gallon and pay far less in general driving costs. I hardly have anything new or high-performance ('97 Chevy Blazer! WooHoo!!) but am only paying $550 or so per year on insurance.

I've got my 93 Camaro Z-28, my 350 V-8 S-15 conversion, a 2000 S-10 pickup , a 2000 Nissan Altima and a Hyundai Accent (three of them with full coverage) on my policy for less than $3500.00/year.

Was at the local body shop last week and he had a couple interesting vehicles on hand. Naturally I thought of you guys and snapped off a few pix:  These both belong to two different local entertainment personalities in the ATL. Really dig the spyder.   Evidently neither one can drive their hi priced Italian chariots since they were both in for body werk!   Just a really sweet and clean M3!  This my euro friends is what a redneck with too much $ looks like!  Enjoy!

I came upon this critter heading out of Cleveland after the Open House...   I doubt if it was an original. Probably a kit or the re-make Ford came out with a couple of years ago...
