I was driving today to check out a construction site close to down town Dallas where they have a Lr1280 and boy was I surprised. There was a huge red crane, so I stopped to get a closer look and it was a 21000 :d/
I looked a spot to get a good pic but I could not find any, I spoted the road that leads down into the river where the cranes are and thought why not give it a try. I was in our work truck so at least I would blend in alittle. I got a few pics not the best but they started giving me weird looks like what is this guy doing so I drove out before I burned my bridge and could not come back.
the company is Gulf Special Service inc. Man this is a huge crane when you get down next to it.
Here are the pics I took, believe me I will be getting a lot more.

Hopefully these load photobucket is acting weird, Sorry guys I will have to reload the pics we are having storms here and it is messing up my interent connection.

Location of the crane is in the river bottom behind the jail off of beckley. I am horrible with directions in this area, but if you know where they are building the new bridge going across the trinity there is a LIebherr 1280 boom sticking up in the air can not miss it.

They are not the best pics but I will be getting more as much as I possibly can

Wow, what a catchApplause

I like picture 5 the best - it gives a good idea of the scale between the crane section and the truck, and he seems to be "wading" through some soft muddy ground which adds to the scene.

Scania V8. The best sounding truck in the world.

A crane watchers heaven - Liebherr, an older American and a 21000 Manitowoc. Thank you for the shots. This is not an everyday find. There are only a few of these around.

Any one else notice the mats under the boom heel section. The authorities would have my lunch if I had that much extra width if this was an on road move.

Pretty stout girl there, makes the 1280 look almost like a toy!!!

All I can say is, MORE PICS, MORE PICS, MORE PICS (as the chanting goes on)!!!

Nice shots Jason!!!

Normally would not post on someone else's thread, but here is one more pic. It's a good shot of the tracks. Jason is right. It is a beast. I cant believe this thing is sitting on the river basin. This is a MAJOR flood plain. The construction you see is sitting between two giant viaducts which keeps the Trinity river from flooding downtown Dallas. It was boggy just walking over to snap this pic. Seems crazy to me, but I guess they have to do what they have to do.

Thanks Brandon, But I must give Jason all the credit here. It was his find for sure. Dude has a nose for finding equipment like a freakin' hound dog! We are pretty damn lucky, I agree.
