If you look at the pics there are large round white tubes, these are the main support for the bridge. they are going to make a large upside down U shape. I hope t be there for at least one of the large lifts

Well it tok them this whole week to get to this. But when I first saw it the whole crane body was assembled. I have emailed Gulf to see if I could get special access to this crane, We'll see what they say, my fingers are crossed they will answerPray

Went by today to check out the site. Was driving thru downtown and a huge boom in the air caught my eye. They finally got her boomed up.You can actually see the boom from north dallas which is several, several miles away. Walked down and got some good photos. It's in a heavy lift config. No jib. I'll wait for Jason to post some since it is his topic. If he has not posted any by sat morning, I'll put a couple up. Damn what a big crane.

These are not with the same camera I had before. They are not quite as clear. Jason and I are planning to head down next weekend to get some good close-ups. Until then this should give you an idea of the final configuration. I'm guessing it's the final? Anyway, here ya go.

Iv'e never paid much attention to the counterweight setup on one of these. No Maxer, looks like some sort of floating tray? This camera does not zoom as much as the other. Maybe someone else has an idea?

the last few the sucky thing I had plenty of memory space but the battery was about to died'oh! so I had to call it quits with the pics. I plan to head back to here with Plumber next weekend and get some more.

one of my favorite pics, the boom heading up into the heavens

Here are some sections they will be lifting. The top of the arch is supossed to be 400 feet I do not think they can reach that in this configuration, hopfully they will need to bring in the lufferPray

Can not wait til next week to go see this again
enjoy the pics there are a few I did not post check them out here
