heard they were topping out the steel on the milton madison bridge, actually topped out today, but i wanted to go see the 4100 ringer before it left. Walsh has the 4100 ringer, 2-4100 crawlers, a 4000 (i think) and a linkbelt LS238 on site. they have built the whole new span and around may or june, they will blast the old bridge out of the way and slide over the new one. so im hoping to catch the blast! would be pretty awesome to see. here are photos i got today.

PS, was told by one of the workers at the bridge, the ringer should be making its way down here to louisville to drive piles, for the new east end bridge and maybe the downtown bridge. sometime in the next 2 months

had to throw in this, of course!

Nice find Brandon, I'd like the blueprints for the ringer substructure, might have to imagineer it . Thanks for sharing.

**first crane pics of 2013** hope more follow throughout the year

spotted this little fella today, talked to one of the workers, said a helicopter is suppose to lift 2 chiller units (16000lbs) i think they were, up on the roof sometime next week. probably during the weekend, thinking they will close the surrounding streets while the lifts are performed. will try to catch it as ive never seen it done before, be pretty cool. but anyways, heres the new Link Belt HTC 3140

like i said in the last update, construction is finally starting on the new ohio river bridges! got off work early today and decided to go down to the bridge site and watch the bg40 operate for a few, and was pleasantly surprised by a red boom in the air and on the ground. the drill actually didnt even work today, but i stayed 6 hrs watching them crawl the mani from a parking lot and across the street. going to start gettin busy on this thread, so get your hardhats ready! Teeth

*PIC HEAVY*

Those are great action shots Brandon. The photos of the crane mats show how uneven and out of square the ends are so when you model them, you don't have to be too careful putting them together.

Thanks, some mats were 26ft and others 28ft long, they had to turn the crane some what to get it inside the site, they assembled it in a parking lot across the street and walked it about 200 ft. im sure it will be here for some time.

saw this being set up the other day, and finally got around to go check it out. anybody know what the attachment is and its purpose? it loads gravel into the top and is raised and lowered into the ground several times before loading more gravel

That looks like they are doing gravel rammed piles. The ones i have seen done here, a hole is augered, then gravel is poured and rammed in more or less.

FINALLY!!!!!
a 2250 has made it back here for me to see. last time one was here, i didnt have my drivers license and couldnt go see it like i wanted to. that was about 9 years ago.
these are probably the best shots i can get, besides getting out on the river in a boat, they have half of the waterfront fenced off with that damn green tarp on it so you can see thru the fence =>:-< , they must know me too well Whistle
anyways, heard another 2250 should be coming soon on a barge for piledriving work. major construction on the 2 new ohio river bridges and revamping the spaghetti junction starts officially next month (July). CANT WAIT!!!

gotta say though, she looks good in white and greyDrool I WANT A 2250 MODEL SO BAD!!! my favorite rig besides the 31000 and 18000

gunna start gettin busy around here boys!

guess they brought one too many sections, they loaded this one back up on the truck

indiana side

house to be moved on the indiana side, theyve already moved 2 already

i could not agree more dude, why a model of the m 250 or the 2250 was never made is almost a crime. i dont know how far amquip's cincinatti yard is from you but i went past it the other day on the way home from larry morgan racing, (current crew chief for him) and there are some huge liebherr crawlers there. that is really all i could tell as fast as i was going is that they were liebherr crawlers and that they are big big hooks the other thing that i wish iwould have taken a picture of is kokosing's lr1300 that is all white, except for where the boom sections pin together is orange. it is a really nice looking machine. it was on a bridge for like a year on 71 north of cincinatti
