Last for a few is I have 1 track done 3 to go. I went with a wide shoe due to the 4 smaller frames
I trashed the old drive spockets and redignednew ones

Sorry for crappy pics will get more outside when I get a chance so you can see the details better

You all know me and I had to have the tracks roll. Which means adding rollers to keep track running smooth. These are better running then my demo excavator

Off to cast more tracks

Hope you all enjoy

Jason

Fantastic job Jason. Applause that's really amazing. That has more detail than most of these 1000 dollar models on the market. Looks awesome. Would love to come by sometime and take a look. Awesome.

Amazing work Jason. Was looking at your 6800 and it's nice to see you working on a crane again.

Thanks guys
That 6800 was a fun build I did not get to complete. My skillswre not what they are today for sure.
You two and your requests we will see what is in the bag next. Might be one of your builds if you are lucky.

Last for a few days I attached cab on power unit and made a tilt feature. I will get pics of that in future posts
The overall length of this unit is just under 41 feet. I was going for 40 but the tilt put it over.

Any chance you could share about your approach to making the lattice for your boom sections?

Do you make a jig to keep them straight and accurate?

I was thinking of possibly having a go at doing some lattice from styrene but damn, it looks tough.

Well looks like I went over my bandwith I will have switch to second account grom here

The lattice sections are all hand made with a lot of measurments no jig

I have 2 track sections done just need to do 52 more track sections and they will all be done. Tonight I have redesigned the container mounts will try and get pics tomorrow

Ok got the new mounts done and installed. Looks better withthe higher cab

Another angle

You can also see the cab tilted in first pic

I put superlift boom on to see how it looks. It is going to be a big model

Do you guys like quad tracks vs double?
