I am having trouble finding Cab interior pictures for the R9800 . I have one that shows most of the interior but if anyone knows of any others, that would be great ! Today I am building the rear drive wheels .

I have now got all the parts cut out for the first track frame and I am working on the parts for the second side now. I hope to have the model sitting on the tracks by the end of the week. Todays picture shows the progress on the bucket as it now has the sides welded on and the center floor and the rear mounting brackets. Anyone following the picture progress can see it at www.doncampbellmodels.com

Todays picture shows the stick welded together and both dump cylinders and the dump linkages all connected for the first time. Tonight I will weld together the boom pieces. Now I am busy cutting out the last pieces for the second track frame and should have both of them assembled tomorrow night . Then I will begin the track pads. You can see todays stick progress picture at www.doncampbellmodels.com

Glad you are enjoying the building process , you can see in the beginning it takes a lot of imagination . The bucket and stick weigh about thirty pounds now but there are at least 25 more parts that still have to be added to the bucket . The bottom skids and the teeth construction assembly will add another 5 or ten lbs.

Todays picture shows the first time the boom , stick , bucket and all six cylinders have been welded and assembled together . There is still another 100 parts to be cut out for this section of the machine , but you can get a good idea now of it's size. Tonight I should get the second track frame assembled. Todays progress picture can be seen at www.doncampbellmodels.com

That thing is insane, awesome work, how do you move it about the shed. Do you have some sort of crane or do you eat a lot of spinich.

Thanks for the positive input. Now the model progress is starting to look good to me too . By this weekend I will really be excited to see it. I am like some of you , I enjoy watching the progress and see it take shape too, ha,ha. Each model I build is a brand new different machine. As far as moving around the parts , I just move the parts around myself , the Spade parts I used a portable crane like a cherry picker used for installing car engines. But so far I have been moving this ok without it.
