ME TOO , ha,ha. Thanks
It is far from perfect , but it is going to be another very unique one of a kind model for Leon's Collection to add to the other two big shovels he has of mine.
I will get going on the RH-400 mid May.

Absolute fantastic work, man you work fast. By the way, Kubolta tractors are good little tractors, better suited for grassland or sportfeild work.

Thanks again for the positive comments,
I just got 50 more pieces of steel cut this morning for the Liebherr Cab. Todays picture shows the protective window louvers. Now I am working on the operators seat and the console and joysticks. Todays picture is at www.doncampbellmodels.com

I've rented smaller flats than that cab, outstanding work, I can't get over how fast you work. Just wish the bankers and the politicians would work this fast.

AMAZING
one quick question
i was on your website, going back throught the archive and i noticed that model of the silver spade that you built.
rumor has it that was the largest metal model ever built?
it this true and who did you sell it to.

I'm unsure of it is the largest , all steel , static Mining Shovel Model ever built , but I have been told it is the the only all steel model of the Silver Spade. This is my all time favorite model I have made so far becuase it was my largest project.
The monster Silver Spade model was sold to Kevin Anderson in Denver Colo. for $20,000.00 .
I saw a recent article in a magazine that I had sold the model to Kevin for $40,000.00 .
So I figure I better set the record straight.

Todays picture shows half of the parts all sanded and primed. Next I will sand the primer and get ready to start painting the grey parts. O&K RH-400 front view is being scaled up to 1/12th scale. Once the Liebherr parts are all painted I will begin cutting out the first parts . Anyone following the progress in pictures can visit www.doncampbellmodels.com

Tomorrow I will post the painted white parts and next week we should all get to see this cool machine take shape for the final time. I am excited to see how it will look all painted and assembled too.
