Real pity about the twisted sections as for the superlift arms being fiddly I expected that because all WSI cranes are real fiddly and delicate but the detail kind of cancels it out. Still a really nice looking model and I've noticed in the past that livered versions tend to be better then the standard version as I've learned from my ltm1050's so I seriously hope the Mammoet version follows this trend as I should have mine end of this week or early next week.

it is a very nice looking model, just really disappointing. this model looked to be model of the year! the tele sections feel like plastic to me, the locking clips are also plastic, the whole model isnt really that heavy, the ltr 1100 weighs more. hate to pack it up and have to wait again for another to come as i really want this model but these defects are insane. i know im not the only guy with a defective model, ive been reading the hansebube forum and bouwmachine forum after i ordered mine, seems like more often than not, they are damaged. very sad hope WSI is reworking the tooling or whatever and solving the problems. thanks guys

What I have heard form Rick.b is that the Mammoet version is better, the pendants attached to the main boom are able to come off. Also the y guide are much better. There was a little bit of play into it.
Mammoet- Size does Matter.

Hi,I just took my ltm1350 back Mammoet version it just felt very cheap I had the same problems broken parts ,not worth the money.Im all for the details and everything else but don't cheap out on everything else the thing was as light as a feather no weight at all cheap hooks better to buy YCC parts,I would rather buy one from NZG or Conrad next time.

got a package in today. got the AC1000 and a free LeTourneau L1850! ill post pics of the 1850 later but here are pics of the 1000, i will get more compared to the 112 soon, over the weekend probably. is a great model, my only complaints are, the outrigger baseplates are too plain and the crane slides around on it, very stiff to rotate the crane but easily fixed, my cab wont stay tilted unless at almost 90 degrees, the boom cylinders work great but my spanner key has already broke, its not a tight fit, i had a feeling it would either strip first or break. and using this method, the boom can easily be scratched when tightening the cylinders, i prefer the set screw method more but since this is a heavy duty crane, guess those wouldnt hold. but other than that, fantastic model! love how it can break down for transport! very solid model now when will conrad release the jib one cool feature, the small block, can actually be stored away while still reeved! fits perfect! luis made me some outrigger/boom carriers SSL fully spread WITH 40 TONS ON THE HOOK!! also got a set of stands for the 112 boom

Nice Brandon! And also have the same problems as you. Stiff turntable, it's so stiff that if I try to turn it, the entire crane rotates! The tilting cab also sucks, and when you try to turn the crane the cab hits the outriggers. I haven't use the span key for the lift cylinders yet, as they are kinda stiff.
One thing I didn't like is that when you extend the boom sections, the paint on them is kinda peeling and in some parts has a black rubbing finish. That actually can be cleaned with a wet towel.
Anyway. Congrats, it's a great model.
Cheers.

Nice addition Brandon. Looks like it lacks detail, but when you have next to the 500 they look the same so i guest that is a production thing. We have gotten used to the NZG and WSI details so Conrad are lacking. Also where did you get your LTM 1350 from.

Thanks guys! Luis- yeah I plan on painting a few of the details such as handles and stuff. Thanks for the extras too! Wayne- I got it from Fritzes model shop, think wsi pulled them until they fix the jib issues, but I got a email about a week ago asking for my info from wsi so I think they have fixed the jibs and mines on the way.

Nice pics and great looking model Brandon, I'm getting more and more tempted to buy the standard version instead of waiting to see if any livered versions show up! Also loving the yard dio, would like to do something like that myself

You picked a nice one for your first WSI truck! Friderici tends to be one of the more sought after liveries over here.

Why not transport it on the drake? Leave the tracks on and add CW on site.
